All of Timberlake awoke with many mixed emotions this morning for our last full day of camp before we are reunited with our parents! After a balanced breakfast and Chapel, campers gathered on a grassy hill to watch the start of the Hunger Games where boys in Greybeard battled for honor, glory, and (of course) bragging rights. After a mighty battle, Hayden C. was the last tribute standing. 

We had some AWESOME trips roll out today from Camp Timberlake! Barnes Z, Harris N, Luke M, Luca V, Jake W, Hunter M, Francesco P, Reid S, Michael L, Lucas B, Xavier B, and Levi G took on the rapids while rafting on section 9 of the French Broad River. Tackling the disc golf course included Emerson F, Benjamin P, Jackson M, Matthew H, Gary M, Carson B, Thax M, Harrison D, Luke H, Jack G, Jack L, and John W. Finally, Giancarlo Z, Santiago M, Teddy M, Will M, and Carson K embarked on a kayaking journey down the Tuckasegee river today. Glad these boys could take one more adventure before heading home!

In addition, we had major accomplishments in shooting sports today including Charlie V. who got 4 40 yd groupings in archery, Louie F. who got a silver riflery grouping, and James A. who got 2 groupings in riflery to work towards his bronze. Amazing job boys and keep up the great work!

Following dinner, we celebrated our final hours at camp with our last little chief ceremony followed by the final campfire celebration. Tonight we celebrated all of our campers accomplishments throughout these two weeks by recognizing commendations, bar achievements, and promotions in the little chief system. We are so proud of everything that these boys have accomplished in the past two weeks and how much they’ve grown.
