Happy Tropical Tuesday Timberlake Parents! As the final days of session 1B are coming to a close, campers woke up this cool tuesday morning to enjoy a shapetastic geometry breakfast with circle shaped eggs, sausages and biscuits. Directly after breakfast, the boys stretched out their vocal cords in the morning yell led by future poet, Charles T.

Two Trips headed out this morning. Jayse B, Henry C, Churchill C, Liam M, Fox S, Bubba L, Griffin W, Teddy S, Drew R, Cullen S, Eric H and Sawyer S departed on a rafting trip today! At the same time, Patrick F, Haile S, Quinn D, Harvey B, Thomas M, Charles F, Penn S, Hammond P and Ward M went mountain biking today at Lake James!

They then heard another TRUE STORY WITH SULTAN OF FUN JAKE H! In which he told a story about how he got saved after being stranded on the water with his friends. He connected his story to answer the question “Who is God?”; The answer: God is our savior.

After chapel they headed back to the cabins where they got to work cleaning their cabins. And you’re prooooooobabblyyyyy wondering who won cabin cleanup today?! In first place…. With a 9.75….GREYBEARD!! The runner up, with a 9.5, Little Slaty (The best cabin). The finish line for the race for the golden plunger draws near..

You’re also prooooooooobablyyy wondering who won pirate ball last night! THE BLACK BEARS! However, redemption was obviously very near because the GOLDEN EAGLES won Bandits Rancheros! As the scores for these games come out, it is clear that the race for the Banner is very close.

Straight after cabin cleanup, the boys headed into their first activity period, where Emmet M, Charlie F and Hammond F earned their bronze bars in Mountain Biking. In basketball, Gus T earned his bronze and Miller S earned his Gold bar. As they headed into the second activity period, Smith L and Jack B worked on their guitar skills in their journey to bronze. Out at the range, Fitch W earned his bronze in Archery. Meanwhile, Henry L and James A achieved groupings at 30 and 15 yards.

Right after the second activity period, the boys hurried to lunch… two of them dressed in banana costumes; Not sure what that was about, but ironically there were no bananas at lunch. Instead, they got some yummy chicken quesidillas and baked potatoes. During lunch, John K serenated the camp with his legendary rooster song. After lunch and rest time, the boys ran hurrily into free time. While all of the boys were enjoying their snacks from the Trading Post, Senior camp had the chance to enjoy the lake for their free swim.

Following free time, we moved into the last 2 activity periods of the day. In these periods, Ellis W earned his bronze in Kayaking. In Airsoft, Hatch D and Ford M earned their Bronze. And finishing out the day’s activities, Reed P earned his Gold in Canoeing.

Dinner today was a favorite… Hawaiian meatballs with a side of Pasta. Also, with the boys’ high expectations for dessert, the vanilla cake did not let them down. I think the kitchen might be on their way to earning a Michelin star. Anyway… You’re proooooooooobably wondering, what the sultan of fun himself, cooked up for tonights tribal activity. Dinner today was INVADED by the dark side of the force when he announced Jedi Wars!! This is the first time this game has been played in first session and it was created by one of our very own Little Slaty counselor, Charlie V. Once we had been serenaded for a second time by Eli F, who performed a guitar piece as part of his gold bar requirements for guitar, and listened to Kenny C give a fantastic recitation of Aragorn’s pre battle speech from “Lord of the Rings, The Return of The King” as part of his Improv gold requirements, it was time for battle (back in the Star Wars universe to be clear. We love our fantastical tales here at Timberlake).

Anyways, as the dark side draws near and the lightsabers turn on to bring balance to the force… signing off
