Good evening on this wonderful Saturday night! As per usual we had another action-packed day here at Camp Timberlake, with loads of different trips and new challenges for our campers to partake in. We started this day off with some wonderful pancakes and plenty of cereal. Then we had a few adventurous boys who wanted to venture outside of camp and try something new. Sumner D, Sam H, Franklin P, SJ G, Bennett B, Todd P, and Owen H went on a sweet rappelling trip at the upper creek. We also sent out our Timberlake Kayakers for a tuck trip today with Oliver G, Reynolds A, Geo P, Reid S, Chris J, Cian M, and Thomas M. Our final Trip (of this morning) was a bouldering trip to the Grandmother which Nate T, Matthew A, Bay J, and Drew H partook in, not to forget but Bay J climbed a V5 Bouldering route as well.

Meanwhile, inside camp, we also had a blast from last night’s infinity war which had been keeping us on our toes until lunch, when we found out the mighty Black Bears had Stopped Thanos and won. We also celebrated some birthdays here at camp as Jonah N and Liam B turned another year older today and celebrated another amazing camp birthday. During free time, we had lots of activities open from making some finishing touches on our pottery to soon glaze to riflery and basketball open for campers to gain some more skills. We had a blast as we earned more bars in our activities like in Fitness when Richard F, ran a half Murphy, and when Turner B. got his silver in basketball, Wilson F, got Silver in Pickleball, Michael B. and Ryder* Got bronze in Kayaking and Radford W got 2 gold groupings in Riflery. We also had lots of fun from Swimming field trips around the lake to our one-match fires in backpacking. We’ve done it all.

While this morning might be hard to top, I think we might have done it again with a rainy dinner. The Lord prevailed and stopped the rain and lightning to let us have an awesome couple of tribal games. With Junior camp racing and zipping down Spy Glass hill on an epic 500ft tarp and ending their epic adventures with a shaving cream war. Our Intermediate campers enjoyed an action-packed game of stealing skins with counselors on their own team so the battle was truly on, would the campers beat their counselors? To end off our epic Tribal evening our Senior campers played Battleship out on Lake Newcomb. With many different activities all in one, our tribal leaders were put to the test to see how well they could win all the games.

Lastly, to finish off our boisterous day at camp we had two evenings sleep away, one here at camp at our Animal House (which is our Greybeard project, a shelter located in the woods) and one on the Tomahawk trail. The campers partaking in the Animal house campout were Robert R, John M, Tommy W, Russell M, Gehrig C, William H, Tyler T, Evan F, Powers T, Collin G, Silas S, Richard F, Ford C, Titus W, Kent K, Chance M, Gus M, Cyrus P, Cole G, Davis O, Michael B and Dunkin M.  The last campers on the Tomahawk Campout were our mighty men of Greybeard, EJ B, Wes D, Drew H, Thomas M, Davis O, Henry O, Jack P, Declan Q, Quinn S, and Grant S have embarked on an adventure of a lifetime. At camp, we can’t wait until Sunday Rest Day where we get an extra hour of sleep and an opportunity like no other to choose our schedule at random and finish it off with an epic cookout with all our friends. Tonight, we will wind down from a tiring day and will  have new adventurous activities in our dreams as we get ready for our 8th day here at camp.

Signing off for now,
