What a great day at camp! After having a French toast breakfast, campers went on to clean their cabins hoping to ultimately win the coveted “Golden Plunger.” Next, they headed to the chapel to hear a great message from Carson Hays, one of Big Piney’s counselors. Carson spoke to us about what sin is and how it affects our lives.

Next, campers headed eagerly to their activities that are held on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Part of the fun today was working on next-level experiences! In kayaking today, the campers got to learn different paddle strokes and side by side rescues. Over in climbing, campers learned how to tie their harnesses into the system with figure 8 follow through. Some campers got to play like the pros in our basketball activity and start working on their bronze and silver bars.

While all of the camp were in their activities, the cabin of Stompers Knob went on an exciting day hike at Table Rock. They brought sack lunches and had beautiful views during their picnic next to the trailhead.

When everyone returned to camp, junior and senior camp enjoyed some savory lasagna and garlic bread before heading to their evening activities. Senior camp played a competitive game of Search and Destroy while junior camp split into their neighborhoods to play El Presidente and Ga-Ga Ball. The banner inches closer and closer as our two tribes compete and win these activities. We then wrapped up camp for the day with some cabin time and are off to bed to rest up for another exciting day of camp!
