Good evening! I am back everyone and today I am bringing y’all the scoop from Tropical Tuesday at Camp Timberlake. It was a jam-packed day as always! There is always so much going on at Camp Timberlake. We were welcomed with one of our all-time favorite breakfast meals… GEOMETRY BREAKFAST. After we scarfed down some food we made our way down for the MORNING YELL done by Scottie, I cannot believe that we are almost done here and that we are nearly wrapping up this session. I have seen these kids grow in some incredible ways throughout these two weeks. After the morning yell we all made our way to the chapel for our time of worship. Our true story at Chapel was told by Matt W. who made a captivating comparison of Jesus with the character George Bailey from a Wonderful Life. Afterward, we went to CLEAN THOSE CABINS! Cabin Cleanup is an essential piece to the puzzle. Tiger Tooth and Big Piney tied for winning cabin cleanup today!

For lunch, not only is it Tropical Tuesday but it is also TACO TUESDAY. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?????? WALKING TACOS!!! And what does that mean for those that are not familiar? TACOS IN A BAG. There were all the toppings you could imagine: guac, salsa, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, onions!!!! TOPPINGS GALOREEEEE!!!  After our lovely meal we went to the BEST TIME, REST TIMEEEEEEE! REST TIME IS PERFECT! WHAT ELSE IS PERFECT? Free time, of course! We had multiple activities open during free time such as fencing, pottery, climbing, tennis, and free swim for intermediate camp.

Today was the last day to earn bars in classes and with that we had a lot of great accomplishments today. Will W. earned a gold in swimming today. In fact, everyone in swim class has a bronze. What STRONG swimmers we have! Robbie G. earned a gold in climbing AND a silver in guitar. GO ROBBIE!  Pace W. earned a silver in disc golf. William M. got his bronze in kayaking today. Hammond F. earned bronze in canoeing. Luke B. and Phillip H. Earned their silver in airsoft. Sam Henry W. earned gold in pickleball. Will M, Fox S, and Jack won basketball 3 v 3 tourney Walters. Luke T. ran the crooked mile 6 times in 2 weeks. Will F. and Miller K. successfully launched rockets in rocketry today!

We had some big trips that went out today. On an Overnight trip we had Noah P, Jack V, Ryker R, Quinn B, Banks P, Henry O, and Case M. On our rafting trip we had Reid P, George S, Henry C, Liam R, James B, Churchill C, Barron P, Bronson P, Logan W, Bubba L, Hayden B, and Luke S.

As kids piled into the Tuck for some fine dining we were served sausage penne with a side of broccoli and breadsticks! Tonight the boys will be playing… GREAT ESCAPE! Campers will be running around to different stations trying to complete tasks to get points for either the BLACK BEARS or GOLDEN EAGLES. Last night we played Age of Empires and the BLACK BEARS WONNNNNN!! We shall see who wins the game tonight…. Both sides put up a good fight every night so we shall see who will come out victorious.  Check back tomorrow to find out who will win the GREAT ESCAPEEEEEEEE!
