It is a fantastic Little Chief Friday!

Hi Timberfam! I am writing back to you for the last time this session – sad! There have been so many interesting developments throughout today that I am delighted to share with you all! 

Let us start with the BEST MEAL… BREAKFASTTT!!!! This morning was a TREAT with eggs, hash browns, and sausage biscuits. The hash browns were a HIT today. They are always so delicious but this morning they were especially delicious. 

We proceeded down the stairs for the morning yell where we raised our voice TO THE HEAVENS… Then as always we made our way to the Chapel to worship Jesus! Today in Chapel we heard from John M. and the book of Acts about the concept of Jesus and being saved. The verse that was focused upon today was Acts 16: 29-31. Growing up, the books of Acts have always held a special place in my heart and I want to share that verse we examined today with you guys! 

“He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” Acts‬ ‭16‬:‭30‬-‭31‬ ‭NIV‬‬

After chapel, we all made our way to GO CLEAN THOSE CABINS! It was the last cabin cleanup of the session which is crazy. HOW? How have these two weeks already come and passed? I will miss the 3A kids so much! Moving on from being sappy about these kids leaving… BUT. LET ME TELL YOU. The Golden Plunger A.K.A. the cleanest cabin of the session was… Hold for dramatic effect….. STOMPERS KNOB. That means THEY GET A PIZZA PARTY TONIGHT. We carried on with normal activities today as our last Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday classes met. Infact, in riflery today Liles F. shot a butterfly mid air! It was crazy to see in person. Big Slaty was able to have a cabin morning! There was a hike that went out to Hawksbill this morning as well! Our trips at Timberlake have always amazed me. Speaking of that, 17 children from junior camp went out on an overnight trip last night. I am so proud of them. It was raining last night. The question remains… Rain versus these kids… who will triumph? JUNIOR CAMP ALWAYS. In other news you are PROBABLY wondering who won Commando last night…. THE BLACK BEARS. We will have to wait on the rest of session 3b to play out to find out who will win the banner.   

Lunch was grilled chicken patties with waffle fries on the side! As well, a healthy addition was needed on the side which was our side chicken caesar salad. All this talk of delicious food is making me really hungry even though I was also able to chow down on some carnitas for dinner!! The Guacamole and the rice made for the ULTIMATE COMBO. Overall, meals today were DELICIOUS.

Little Chief isn’t a competition or battle where the winning tribe moves one step closer to the banner.  Instead, Little Chief is when we set aside time to recognize and celebrate the growth that we see in campers every single day.  We are going to move onto activities and the bars gained in them! Campers work hard to achieve these bars in their activities throughout the two weeks. This ceremony honors all of the hard work they have done!
