It was a beautiful but bittersweet day here at Camp Timberlake as we said goodbye to our 3A campers. We enjoyed a final delicious breakfast of waffles and sausage patties and also the hot grit bar with all the toppings. We were blessed with a a cool and partly cloudy morning for checkout. It was fun watching parents and campers reunite and to hear the beginnings of what was sure to be a car ride home full of stories shared of adventures had and friends made. All the same we will really miss our 3A guys! The good news is that goodbyes at camp are never forever, and all throughout property the cries of “See you next summer” could be heard echoing off the hills.

Back at camp our other 4 week campers enjoyed chicken wings and onion rings for lunch, along with sides of red grapes (the inferior grape) and carrots and ranch dressing.  There’s no meal like a split session meal.

The afternoon was full of paddleboarding and free swim down on Lake Newcomb and after a pulled pork and mac and cheese, all campers and staff headed to Spencers green for a fun games of kickball, wiffleball, and of course, battleball.

To all our amazing 3A families, thank you for sharing your sons with us this summer. Continue to follow along here for the rest of the session to keep your boys posted on who wins the banner, which cabin wins the golden plunger and much much more. And we can’t wait to see you back next summer!

And for our Full session campers the adventure continues! Thanks for joining us for the ride.
