A little rain couldn’t dampen the Timberlake spirit as we jumped out of bed for the final day of Session 3A! Despite the overcast skies, we threw on our rain jackets and trekked through the puddles, down to the Tuck, determined to make every last minute count. This morning, we enjoyed waffle sandwiches with donut holes which brightened all of our moods immediately.

After breakfast and a glorious morning yell we headed to the chapel and got ready to listen to our last chapel story of 3A from John.

 

After chapel the campers sprinted through the misty hills back to their cabins for the final clean before the Golden Plunger would be announced.

 

Some campers took this last day to go on an adventure as some went fly fishing, rafting or on a disc golf trip.

Headed off to the mighty French Broad River was Christian N., Franco G., Murphy D., Reid L., Sam R., Charles S., Eddie K., Max S., Julian S., Jack V., and Jack H.

 

Dace nation also had some new citizens as Turner B., Eli B., Charlie C., Will C., John Isaac H., and Fox R., headed out for a fly fishing expedition.

 

Later in the afternoon a disc golf trip headed to play a round on the Black Mountain course. Walker F., Ben B., Connor T., Jack S., Theo T., Jack S., Beckett B., Zach M., William B., Max S., Banks D., James A., and Baine B. all teed up and played 9 holes to see who would emerge victorious.

 

After an eventful morning, we headed back to the Tuck for one of the best lunches, jambalaya, corn bread and fried okra. As we feasted on this delicious lunch everyone was wondering the same question. Who would win the golden plunger??? As cabin clean up scores were announced for the day, one cabin stood above the rest for today and for the whole session. Earning a perfect 10 and winning the session 3A Golden Plunger, Stompers Knob. Congratulations boys and I hope you had a great time at your pizza party!! At lunch we also celebrated some birthdays! Happy birthday Gehrig C. and Michael B.

 

In the afternoon the rain went away, and we were left with a cool overcast day. All of the activities continued in full swing as everyone headed down to the beach for some trade post and then made their way to their 3rd and 4th period activities. After all of the activity periods of the day were over everyone headed back to the Tuck for a great dinner of …….

As we cleaned up from dinner, the familiar commotion started building again…

“AAANNNNNNDDDDDD NNNNOOOOOOWWW!”

Tonight was Little Chief!

Cheers echoed the Tuck as the campers and staff geared up to head to the council ring. During the ceremony, we celebrated boys earning bars in their activities, counselor and camper commendations, and recognized those who received promotions within the Little Chief system.

It was a proud, reflective evening and the absolute perfect way to close out such an incredible session. We are going to miss this amazing group of guys, but the memories from 3A, 2026 will last a lifetime.
