Our last full day of this summer was one for the books! It was a beautiful day here at Timberlake as our campers enjoyed their final activities and spent time with friends around camp. We savored last swims in the lake, riding the mountain biking trail, and even taking two final trips, one of which did a waterfall rappel at Upper Creek! They swam in a water hole at the bottom of the waterfall, and this included Bo S, Lucas Z, Quinn S, Calvin H, William B, and Joey B. The other trip went white water rafting and included Nolan B, Rhett C, Turner W, and Silas E.

Tonight’s evening activity was Final Campfire, where we recognize the varying achievements of our campers. We shared promotions towards Little Chief, the honor camper for each cabin, recognize our tribal leaders, celebrate sons of Timberlake, as well as announce the most outstanding and most improved in each activity. We ended the night by announcing the winner of the coveted banner for this session – massive congratulations to the Iroquois! We are proud of every camper here at Timberlake, and Final Campfire allows us to celebrate each other and share memories of what makes camp special. The last days of camp are bittersweet for campers and staff alike, but we look forward to seeing our friends back at Timberlake next summer!
