Happy first Friday of session 1B! This morning at breakfast we had potatoes, eggs, bacon, and biscuits. After eating this delicious breakfast boys headed out for the morning yell with Trevor S. and then off to chapel with music lead by John and a true story by Caleb.

First period activities kicked off and our trips left. Our backpacking overnight with  William L, Trevor S, Owen G, Hammond F, Kieran S, Ellis W, Bennett F, JB S and Meyer S is still out doing some rock climbing and rappelling at Devil’s Cellar. A mountain biking trip with Sam S, Oliver F, Duke A, Patrick F, Emmett M, Gus T. headed to Old Fort and a river snorkeling trip with Charles L, Stephen J, Luke H, Phillip H, Ben H, Eli F, Hayes T, McKean K, Eric H, Logan D. Sawyer S and William F set out for the Linville River both left camp ready for their adventures. The bugle sounded to end second period and boys went off to the dining hall to devour southwest chicken wraps and tortilla chips with salsa. The winner of cabin clean up today was Huckleberry with a perfect 10! Now for what everyone is waiting for…the winner of mission impossible…BLACK BEARS!! The race for the banner is well underway and is neck and neck. Check back in next week to find out who the winner of the banner for the first session is.

Boys then headed to the freest time, free time with activities like disc golf, pickleball, and field sports open for boys to work on bars. The bugle sounded and boys ran off to their afternoon activities. After fourth period everyone made their way back to The Tuck to enjoy a delicious dinner of pork, peas and potatoes (and some very popular dinner rolls with Snickerdoodle cookies for dessert. For tonight’s evening activity,  it is Little Chief. We take a break from tribal games to recognize the hard work our boys are putting into cabin life and their activities.
