Another Strong Thursday at Camp Timberlake!!!!! 

The boys started the day strong with a helping of delicious waffle sticks and sausage patties for breakfast to power through the day, after breakfast we did a strong morning yell with our returning counselor in training from the first session, Ryan H. After breakfast we sent a day hike off to Huskins Branch which included Jack C, Reid L, Oliver M, Todd Michael P, Beckett A, Robert B, Tyler T, Banks D, Eddie K, Robert D to have a great time. After the morning yell, we ran to the chapel (off the grass) to hear the empowering songs and a great true story to start the morning. Immediately after we ran to cabins to start cleaning because so far the golden plunger (the ultimate prize for the cleanest cabin) could be anyone’s, as every cabin is getting very good scores for cabin cleanup. 

Throughout the day in and out of camp, many succeeded in different activities including Connor T earned his silver in basketball, Cole R earned #1 on the basketball 1v1 leaderboard, Becket B went -1 on back nine for disc golf, Allen B achieved his bronze in diving and during the climbing overnight trip SJ G, Eli B, Powers T, Gherig C, Micah A, Sam R, Pick D all rappelled 150ft.

After the first two activities of the day, we all headed to lunch for some delicious mini corn dogs with mac n cheese to fuel us, we also learned the high scores of cabin cleanup and leading today was… TOMAHAWK WITH A PERFECT 10!! Good job boys, keep at it!

After lunch, we all needed the best time…Rest time, which was well deserved by all. 

After rest time, while some went to the 1v1 basketball tournament at the Mark, Tomahawk, Little Piney, Big Piney and Stompers Knob all had a freeswim during freetime!! Which felt wonderful on a warm day like today. In the afternoon the overnight climbing trip came back and told some fantastic stories from their day which many listened to. Later after free time we all went to 3rd and 4th activities where everyone crushed it! Before a  dinner we all have been waiting for…

Sweet and sour chicken with spring rolls and veggies!! A strong dinner to keep us awake for the awaiting tribal game….. JEDI WARS!! Both tribes hunt down different gold pieces and characters from the movies around camp earning points along the way. We will find out who wins tomorrow afternoon to work towards the banner.

It has been a wonderful day here at Timberlake. We’ll keep having these kinds of days so stay tuned…
