There’s something special about Saturdays here at camp! Today, we truly felt the weekend excitement, with an extra surprise from our sisters over at Merri-Mac!

We woke up to an overcast sky and made our way down to breakfast, where our amazing kitchen staff greeted us with waffle sandwiches and sausage patties. After filling up for the day ahead, we gathered for the morning yell before heading up to the chapel, where we heard another great true story from John!

After chapel, George F, Connor P, Liles F, and Todd Micheal P set out with Jake H for an awesome day of fly fishing. We can’t wait to hear about everything they caught when they return!

Around the same time, Jack C, Titus W, Ari P, Ford C, Patrick H, Tommy W, John Grady M, Alex K, Jack M, Tyler T, and Ben F returned to camp after their awesome Turtleback cabin overnight trip! They came back after a great adventure away from camp and were ready to jump right back into the action.

The boys have also continued to do an amazing job keeping their cabins clean. SIX cabins scored above a 9.0 today, including two of our three youngest cabins, Finches Landing and Further Up! Stompers Knob once again took the top spot, earning a PERFECT TEN! The competition between cabins continues to heat up as we move further into the session.

In a special twist before lunch, boys with sisters at Merri-Mac headed down to the beach to enjoy a few hours with their siblings! They were treated to lunch, trading post, and a memorable free swim courtesy of our senior staff and amazing lifeguards. It was definitely a special opportunity for everyone involved and a great way to spend part of our Saturday!

Meanwhile, the rest of us enjoyed ham and cheese croissants with a side of fresh pretzel bites for lunch.

Once lunch came to an end, we gathered together to find out the winners of Tribal Soccer AND Tribal Basketball……….THE BLACK BEARS!!!!

A comeback for the ages could officially be in store! The Bears have now pulled off FOUR consecutive tribal victories after an underwhelming start to the session. With the momentum beginning to swing in their direction, it is safe to say that the banner race is absolutely razor thin!

After all that excitement, we finally enjoyed the best hour of the day……REST HOUR.

Once everyone was recharged, we got right back to the fun with free time and afternoon activities! Benton D earned his bronze in Pickleball, while Baine B achieved his gold bar in the same activity! Powers T earned his silver in Backpacking. Up at the Mark, Alex M earned his bronze in Field Sports, while Owen H had a huge afternoon, earning both his bronze and silver!

Dinner featured another camp classic: Hawaiian Meatballs! After another great meal, everyone gathered together to find out what the evening activity would be.

Tonight’s activity was……MISSION IMPOSSIBLE!

The second the announcement was made, everyone got their best Tom Cruise attitudes ready as cabins prepared for a night filled with strategy, teamwork, sneaking around camp, and plenty of excitement. It was the perfect way to finish off another action-packed Saturday at Timberlake.

From sibling visits and tribal victories to activity achievements and Mission Impossible, it was another unforgettable day here at camp, and we can’t wait to see what tomorrow has in store!
