Greetings Camp Timberlake! Another day, another adventure for Timberlake! Today campers
were greeted by their all-time favorite meal, Geometry Breakfast. Wow! The kitchen staff really
cooked with this one! After eager campers filled up their bellies with the geometry breakfast, the
Mighty Cabin of Greybeard led a very mighty morning yell! It was memorable for sure and the
kids loved it! Today for chapel we talked about an intriguing story led by Matt W. about how he
broke a bouncing ball and it popped. His brother took the blame for him. Aww, what a nice
brother. I probably wouldn’t do the same.
The rest of the morning was jam-packed and exciting!
Three trips went out today! In Mountain Biking, Freddie O, CJ R, Gabe W, Mathew G, and
Braxton F went trekking. Fly fishing featured Ryan S, Harrison W, Alexis B, Micheal T, Giancarlo
Z, and Carson K. An exciting trip day hike to a cool swimming hole featured Elias W, Cole R,
Luke M, Dane T, Jack L, Wade G, John L, and Brodie R.
Because camp is drawing close to the end for most campers, boys rushed eagerly into each
activity in their events. In the morning classes such as fencing, Hayes A, Will C, Penn P, Ford F,
Winton F, Jay N, and Noah P all earned bronzes in fencing. EN GARDE! A strong class of
silver-worthy athletes also deserve a spotlight: Sam O, Timmy M, Teddy M, Hayes D, and J
Offerdalh. They all completed a half Murph for their silver. If you don’t know what a Half Murph
is that’s a lot of pushups, situps, and running. That’s a lot of exercise. In airsoft today, I
witnessed Knox C. get his bronze. Congrats!
Lunch today also did not disappoint. Once again the kitchen staff were cooking, this time it
being Stromboli!
It was delicious filled with pizza toppings on bread. I especially loved the oranges because it
was sweet and refreshing. After lunch was our daily staff announcements and it did not
disappoint. You’re probably wondering who won the annual archery tournament at Merri Mac.
DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!! Timberlake! Timberlake remain undefeated utterly pulverizing their

competition to a score of 1902-1561. I was never a good kid in math but I know that that’s a big
margin for victory. Wow. Among the top scorers was Aubrey S who also received his gold in
archery. Well done! Cabin cleanup also did not disappoint. While the cabins were mostly a bit
dirtier than usual, Little Slaty did not disappoint as they emerged with a nearly perfect score of
9.75! Big Piney the defending Golden Plunger champs and Tigertooth the second cleanest
cabin last session were second with a 9.5. Hang on to your hats Timber-fam! The race is
tightening! A cheer to the Black Bears as there one step closer to the banner after winning the
classic activity of Sock War. It’s okay Golden Eagles, they always win Sock War anyway, and
fear not because redemption is just a few hours away!
The afternoon was also extremely busy! Wait MC secured his silver and gold in pickleball, gold
in Riflery, and his gold in basketball. Fifteen free throws are impressive! Looks like Wait MC was
hunting for gold today! Harrison B and Leo G secured a bronze in pickleball and Cam M got his
silver in riflery. Mathew G and Charlie C got their bronze in the ancient range, archery. Also,
another series of gold hunters were found at the climbing tower and rocketry. Two Jacks, Jack
G from Little Piney and Jack V from Greybeard secured their bronze after learning their last
requirement anchoring! CJ R also launched his way to a gold bar in the activity of rocketry.
Well done anchoring your way to success.
For dinner, the camp was served a delicious Carne Asada! Yum! And to top it off sugar cookies.
Tonight's game announced is featuring COMMANDO! That’s right! Get ready for some
splashing fun! As the fight for the banner tightens, this game is extremely important for both
tribes. For the Blackbears, if they secure this win they are one step closer to upsetting a victory
by the Golden Eagles. For the Golden Eagles the defending champs of the session 2 Banner,
they need a win to gain leverage! That's it for tonight folks! I’ll catch you later in the meantime,
stay tuned for results!
